«*» RUKHSANA«*» A piece of peace – How expensive is it?

 

If human kind was ever close to the apocalypse called World War III – then it would be today. Cold war was considered to be the most cocked and controversial political affair between two country blocks that took place in modern history. If we compare Cold War to what is going on today – we are much closer to apocalypse than we were in 1970s. We have made enormous progress in technology and medicine, we are at the edge of revolutionary scientific discoveries, yet it is fact that we have never gained a world peace and we choke in the blood bath of our brothers and sisters – worldwide.   We live at the time when price of oil has topped price of human's life. Is it necessary to make any discussion and polemics about comparing human's life to any other value found at the Earth? Apparently, it is necessary – unfortunately we need to make a serious discussion about values of our own lives. How much we actually worth? Anybody can become government's string puppet and it is just a matter of time. Who can guarantee you or to me that we will not be sent to Middle East tomorrow just to do slaughtering and wasting human lives for "force majeure"? At the time when whole world is in frenzy of judging everything around us through material and tangible values – human has become paranoid. We are fighting against terrible pestilence called terrorism to protect our own lives, yet more innocent lives are taken with our "preventive" wars than by terrorism itself. Where has logic gone and to whom are we actually serving? Are we serving our countries and our people or we serve individuals who are pulling strings to satisfy their personal beliefs? Answers are so hard to find yet so simple… In global delirium happening as you read this, there are still few lights at the end of the tunnel we stumbled within. Not all countries are chinking in armor and loading their muskets. Few among us are still trying to calm this fiasco leading to nothing else but disaster. Regimes that were presented as beasts and the biggest threats to world's security and peace worldwide, apparently strive more than anybody else to keep the peace. Russia and China are among few rare countries whose peaceful actions were not followed by invasions and massive blood baths. China can be proud of the fact of taking part in multiple peace treaties between belligerents world wide. This country is an active participant in multilateral peacekeeping missions organized by United Nations council. China stands for one of the most influencing peacekeepers in Asia. Since its sudden economic growth, China has made enormous steps in military industry area and has become one of the most cited countries in any type of peacekeeping programs at the soil of Asia. Now we are to ask ourselves what kind of propaganda we are being served upon our birth. What is the purpose of our life? How sacred is human life and how expensive a piece of peace is today? These are just some of questions we should immediately answer in order to have better tomorrow and safer world for our children. Peace is not conditioned upon our birth anymore. We have collectively lost right to life as consequence to our own moves and imprudence. We have allowed money, oil, gold and diamonds to take over the price of things we should have appreciated the most in the world. Material assets have taken over on prices of our children, brothers and sisters. Soon enough we will witness whether we are marching into the abyss or in better tomorrow.
