*1631...Teri Bahoon Main...Pak Old*
Waqt k uper bichi zindagi besaat hai
Hai kisi ko shey yahan aur kisi ko maat hai
Apna apna kheel hai apni apni chaal hai
Har qadam pay hai bicha sazishoon ka jaal hai
Kuch hain aise bhi yahan jante hain jo huner
Moor deen bazi ka rukh marzi se chaheen jidhar
Par naheen woh jante muamlah pesh e nazar
Har ujale main chupi ek andheri raat hai

Koun aya zindagi main yun dabe paoun
Dhuop main kuch dair ko ho gai chaaoun
Is ghari main jee uthey chae mar jaoun
Teri bahoon main maron yeh khushi ki baat hai
Apna apna kheel hai apni apni chaal hai
Har qadam par bichaa sazishoon ka jaal hai
Zindagi k kheel main sochte hain sab yehi
Kuch na kuch tatbeer se jeet jayeen ge wohi
Par woh sab nadaan hain woh toh bas hain potliyaan
Kismatoon ki door toh kisi aur hi k hath hai

Abu Hurairah (Radi Allahu anhu) reported:

Allah's Messenger (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) said, "Do you know who is bankrupt?"
They said:"The bankrupt among us is one who has neither money with him nor any property."
He (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) said, "The real bankrupt of my Ummah would be he, who would come on the Day of Resurrection with Salat, Saum and Sadaqah, (but he will find himself bankrupt on that day as he will have exhausted the good deeds) because he reviled others, brought calumny against others, unlawfully devoured the wealth of others, shed the blood of others and beat others; so his good deeds would be credited to the account of those (who suffered  at his hand). If his good deeds fall short to clear the account, their sins would be entered in his account and he would be thrown in the (Hell) Fire."

Good Deeds Erase Bad Deeds

By Diva Allott

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

"Have taqwa (fear) of Allah wherever you may be, and follow up a bad deed with a good deed which will wipe it out, and behave well towards the people." (At-Tirmidhi)

He, peace be upon him, also said:

"On every person's joints or small bones (i.e. fingers and toes), there is sadaqah (charity) every day the sun rises.

Doing justice between two people is sadaqah; assisting a man to mount his animal, or lifting up his belongings onto it is sadaqah; a good word is sadaqah; every step you take towards prayer is sadaqah; and removing harmful things from pathways is sadaqah." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

The first hadith which refers to the good deeds erasing the bad deeds is very important to remember in Islam. Being a new Muslim, a born Muslim or a revert of 20 years, you make mistakes.

Remember that Islam is perfect and people aren't. God created mankind, the jinn, and the angels; the angels are perfect and make no mistakes and obey God's every command, but we, as humans, do make mistakes and commit bad deeds; we can repent with sincerity and we hope in God's forgiveness through repentance and making good deeds.

As the hadith mentions, if a person commits a sin or a bad deed unwillingly, then realizes they have committed a sin, they have the opportunity to erase it by doing a good deed or an act of charity. Be careful when referring to this hadith, it doesn't mean to go around intentionally committing sins and doing bad deeds then simply doing something good afterwards in the hope of erasing it. You must have sincerity and pure intentions in your heart not to repeat the sin again.

With regards to good deeds or charity we can refer to the second hadith. Most people think, just like I did, that an act of charity is to put a few coins in a money box. Subhan Allah, through God's mercy, He has made an act of charity so much more. An act of charity could be to help an elderly person cross the road or help them carry their shopping. God has made it so easy for us in this life to increase our weights in good deeds.

Good deeds are so important in Islam. Helping others and presenting the real image of Islam as peaceful and beautiful are highly recommended. On the Day of Judgment, each person's deeds will be weighed on a scale and if the good deeds outweigh the bad, God has promised us Paradise.

God says in the Quran that our deeds will be measured or weighed, and whosoever has more good deeds will enter the Gardens of Paradise and whose evil deeds weigh more than the good ones will be entered into the Hell fire. (101: 6-11)

I find it helpful and supportive to always remember God's words before committing any bad or good deeds. Stop and think before you act, will this deed increase my scale of good or bad deeds? God wouldn't want me to go against Him or Islam. Always keep God close to your heart when making intention to perform an act of charity andinsha'Allah it will be accepted.

With regards to giving you some personal stories about myself and how I have replaced my bad deeds with good deeds, I cannot share them on this occasion as Prophet Muhammad once said:

"All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin, those who commit sin openly or disclose their sins to the people." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

As the hadith above states, those who discuss or disclose their sins to others will not be forgiven, and this is a severe punishment. Although everyone is different, after I do something and then realize it's a sin, I feel extremely guilty and sometimes talking to someone can make you feel less guilty. However, in this situation remember that if you need to talk to someone about it, talk to your Creator, the All-Wise and the All-Knowing, for He knows what is in your heart and ask Him for forgiveness andInsha'Allah this will ease your guilt and stop you from talking about it with others.

Some people sometimes choose not to accept your help often out of pride, but it is important to politely persist in helping them. The Prophet's wife Aisha reported that Prophet Muhammad said:

"O people, you should do whatever good deeds you can, for Allah does not get tired (of giving reward) until you get tired.

And the most beloved of good deeds to Allah is that in which a person persists, even if it is little. If the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) started to do something, they would persist in it." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Many people, in particular elderly people, can be too proud to accept the help that they really need but God will provide you with more reward for persisting and almost insisting on helping the needy.

Some Practical Advice

I can offer you some personal advice in accordance with the Quran and the Sunnah which helps me get by when I sometimes make mistakes.

First of all, always take a few minutes to think before you act on what consequence your actions might have on you, others, and your faith.

Secondly, always praise and thank God for providing you with the opportunity to give charity as you may be increasing wealth of good deeds which could save you on the Day of Judgment.

Finally, do not dismiss the importance of small deeds. These can include actions such as saying hello to a passerby, being kind to your neighbors, smiling and remembering every step towards prayer...

Narrated Abu Hurairah:

I heard Allah's Apostle saying:

"If there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day would you notice any dirt on him?"

They said: "Not a trace of dirt would be left."

The Prophet added:

"That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Be steadfast in your prayers and may Allah provide you all with opportunities to increase your wealth in good deeds and erase the bad deeds Insha'Allah.

One Satan: But How Could He Whisper to Millions?

Question and answer details
Name of Questioner: Farid
Reply date: 2013/02/16
Question: As-Salamu `alaykum. I know that there is only one Iblis or al-Shaytan. Then how can he whisper to thousands and thousands of people all around the world at the same time?
consultant: Rif`at Fawzi `Abd Al-Muttalib
Answer

Wa `alaykum As-Salamu wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

In The Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Dear questioner, thank you very much for having confidence in us, and we hope our efforts, which are purely for Allah's Sake, meet your expectations.

We implore Allah to protect all of us from Satan and his helpers. `Ali bin Al-Husayn reported: Safiya, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told me that she went to Allah's Messenger to visit him in the Mosque while he was in i`tikafor seclusion in the last ten days of Ramadan. She had a talk with him for a while, then she got up in order to return home. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) accompanied her. When they reached the gate of the Mosque opposite the door of Um-Salama, two Ansari men were passing by and they greeted Allah's Messenger. He told them not to run away, and he said, "She is (my wife) Safiya bint Huyai."Both of them said, "Subhan Allah, (How dare we think of any evil) O Allah's Messenger!" And they felt it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to them), "Satan reaches everywhere in the human body as blood reaches in it, (everywhere in one's body). I was afraid lest Satan might insert an evil thought in your minds." (Reported by Al-Bukhari)

It is not only Iblis who whispers to those huge numbers you mentioned. Rather, Iblis has many aides and hosts from among the devils who help him accomplish his tasks of tempting the believers. This fact is stressed in the Qur'an.

In his response to the question, Dr. Rif`at Fawzi, former professor of Shari`ah at Cairo University, states the following:

Indeed, there is only one Iblis or Satan that is known in the Qur'an. Also, in the Qur'an the word Iblis refers to al-Shaytan (with the definite article "al"). This Iblis has many aides from among the devils and assistants (shayateen, the plural ofshaytan) who help tempt and derail the believers from the right track to disobey Allah and sin. Those aides act according to Iblis's orders in the same way the entourage of a king, for example, behave as per his orders.

The fact that Iblis has different aides and hosts is stressed in the Qur'an in more than one verse. For example, Allah Almighty says: "O Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you as he caused your (first) parents to go forth from the Garden and tore off from them their robe (of innocence) that be might manifest their shame to them. Lo! He seeth you, he and his tribe, from whence ye see him not. Lo! We have made the devils protecting friends for those who believe not." (Al-A`raf: 27)

Allah Almighty also says: "Then they will be hurled therein, they and the seducers. And the hosts of Iblis, together. And they will say, when they are quarrelling therein: By Allah, of a truth we were in error manifest."(Ash-Shu`araa: 94-97)

In conclusion, I would like to stress that we as mortals do not know how Iblis and his hosts seduce people to sin, as this is beyond human perception. Even the number of Iblis's hosts and aides, how they seduce people, and the mechanism they apply is part of the Unseen that is known to Allah alone. It is really wrong to compare our might and very limited power as mortals to that of Iblis and his helpers.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to write back!

May Allah guide you to the straight path, and guide you to that which pleases Him, Amen.

Allah almighty knows best.

Afflictions continue to befall believing men and women ...

Hardships reduce the burden of sins from the believer freeing him from the severe and unbearable punishments of the Hereafter. The Messenger of Allah said,

"Afflictions continue to befall believing men and women in their body, family and property, until they meet Allah burdened with no sins." [as-Saheehah (2280)] and he also said,

"No stress or exhaustion befalls the Muslim, nor worry or distress, even a thorn which pricks him, but Allah will expiate his sins because of that." [Agreed upon]

Suffering in this world is insignificant in comparison to the harsh unbearable punishments of the Hereafter. Besides, death puts an end to a person's suffering in this world, where as punishments of the Here after are eternal!

Whenever I am browsing on Internet, I am very much cautious about clicking any link on any website or shortened links in emails. Since I don't trust anyone on Internet, that's why I really wonder where any link can redirect me. As we all know how common these Phishing attacks are now a days, one mistake can put me in a lot of trouble. I know if I kept thinking like that, than I simply can't work because Internet Is Full Of Links and I can't make myself reserve from clicking those links.

But if there is a way which can show me how secure or trusted that link really is and where that link on any website or email will take me to without actually clicking it, than It will make my and everyone's life a bit worry free. And fortunately there is very nice tool / browser add-on which works exactly the same way how i desired and works perfectly.

WOT - Web Of Trust is a user based rating service, which tells you which website is safe or not before even clicking the links.
