The Only Currencies That Have Outperformed Gold This Year

Gold futures rallied after the disastrous job report Friday and settled at $1,544.40/oz at the market's close. Despite talks of gold being a bubble many seek it out as a hedge. 

Gold appreciated an average of 3.4% against most currencies through the first half of 2011, according to GoldSilver.com.

They put together a list comparing gold and silver prices to the 70 currencies and we compiled a list of all the currencies that outperformed gold as at the second quarter of 2011. 

The New Zealand Dollar outperformed gold by 0.4%
