A Mother’s Commandments

 

1. Thou shalt not judge or criticize thy daughter’s behavior.
2. Thou shalt not contradict thy daughter’s rules In her home.
3. Thou shalt not question thy daughter’s lifestyle or personal choices.
4. Thou shalt love thy daughter even if she’s nothing like you.
5. Thou shalt respect thy daughter as you would want her to respect you.
6. Thou shalt not carry tales about thy daughter to anyone.
7. Thou shalt always measure out thy honesty and be diplomatic to thy daughter under all circumstances.
8. Thou shalt not speak against thy daughter’s mate or his mother.
9. Thou shalt not make promises to thy daughter that you cannot fulfill.
10. Thou shalt always remember that this human being is not yours but a woman into her own; she needs to be treated of the position.

 

 

A Daughter’s Commandments

 

1. Thou shalt not covet thy mother’s possessions.
2. Thou shalt not expect thy mother to financially support you.
3. Thou shalt not make any demands upon thy mother, only polite requests.
4. Thou shalt not neglect thy mother in any way.
5. Thou shalt  always give thy mother the same respect you want for yourself.
6. Thou shalt not deny thy mother’s visitation with thy children.
7. Thou shalt always remember thy mother’s special observation and holidays.
8. Thou shalt make thyself available at times for support of the mother during important medical crises.
9. Thou shalt never assume you know thy mother’s feelings or thoughts.
10. Thou shalt not criticize thy mother’s life style, attire, spending or eating habits.
