kalicharan ji from the caribbean group has posed this question from the GITA. what it is action;what is inaction,as to this even the wise are deluded
the meaning appears confusing to us all, but after miuch thought i conclude as under
the basic word verily is only 1 as in gurmukhi said as ek omkar
meaning there is only one god ; so that much is clear ; but what then is the meaning of OM or AUM
we can manage to live withought everything else except breath ; in that challenge between the senses
when finally the turn of breath comes & says i wIll stop my breath;;ALL SAY NO NO PLEASE DONT STOP
so the gita explains that none can live without action be it breathing, eating,, pissing etc.earlier it is said ALL ACTIONS IN THEIR ENTIRETY CULMINATE IN KNOWLEDGE O PARTHA
so the basic action without which we all cannot live is BREATH. hence this breath now being the most powerful,
its properties were studied how to imp[rove upon it to increase the intelligence level to solve problems of the state,
prediction of todays solar or lunar eclipses without computers 3-5000 years ago ; indeed a intelligence of a extreemly high order, unimaginable by us now
human life was created by god to perform actions. after breath mankind needed food by killing animals or growing wheat . both reqd actions. but these were right actions.looking after ones family was also right action
now we come to INACTION. inaction is that which benefits society who by their hard work are working
.,for themselves are also working for & due to their employer who is sitting in his airconditioned cabin smoking a havana cigar with his feet upon the edge of the table. he is perfoming thought actions of setting up ,running the factories in which the majority of the population are working.
such a man the foolish think is doing INACTION
i,m sure you know now now what is action & inaction. what then is WRONG ACTION
to kill, injure, hurt, steal what is anothers
. the 10 commandments of the bible are a good guide. a poor hungry child stole a piece of bread in london in the 18th century , was sent to the colonies. that was wrong action by the judges of that time
if a godown of wheat is looted by hooligans ; that is wrong action & they must be punished,
