Hadith: Sadqa aur Hadiya (Gift)
Abu Hurairah Radiallahu anhu se rivayat hai ki Rasoollallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ki khidmat mein jab koi khaney ki cheez layee jati to Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam dariyaft farmatey ki ye Thofa hai Ya Sadqa? Agar kaha jata ki Sadqa hai to Aap apney Ashaab se famatey ki kha lo aur Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam khud nahi khatey aur agar kaha jata ki Tohfa hai to Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam khud bhi haath badatey aur Sahaba ke saath usey khatey.

Hadith: Charity (Sadaqa ) or Gift
Narrated Abu Huraira Radiallahu anhu : Whenever a meal was brought to Allah's Apostle Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam , he would ask whether it was a gift or Sadaqa (something given in charity). If he was told that it was Sadaqa, he would tell his companions to eat it, but if it was a gift, he would hurry to eat it with them.
Sahih Bukhari, Vol 3, Book 47, No. 750:
