bout two months ago, artist Susan Stockwell completed her own map with motherboards, but she didn't stop with just one city or even one country. As a matter of fact, her motherboard creation is a humongous map of the entire world. She was commissioned to create this recycled computer parts beauty by the Bedfordshire University, and it's currently displayed in the atrium of their new student building. She started working on this world map in 2010, and all of the computer parts used to create it were donated by a company called Secure IT Recycling. If you look closely, you'll see motherboards, electrical wires, fans, and all kinds of teeny-weeny computer parts that would have otherwise been tossed out. She's given a whole new life to this used stuff, and it's truly spectacular! |
