Dekho gey humain roz magar baat na hogi
Ek shehr me reh keh be mulaqaat na hogi

 

Kehna hai jo keh dalo abi waqt hai baqi
kal hum honge … magar art-e-halat na hogi

 

Jo poochna hai tum ko abi poch lo warna
phir Rasm-e-sawalaat na hogi

 

Din itne huye taweel hijir ke logo
Tarpo ge sar-e-sham magar raat na hogi

 

Ye soch kar be dil tarap uthta hai yara
bichren gey is tarah, ke kabi mulaqat na hogi
