Good day Dear Brothers and Sisters, Its Saturday, October 15th 2011  Today is Husbands Day  Yep, at least among the Hindus in india .. when their wives keep a day long fast for their long life and prosperity ... ITS KARVA CHAUTH Already as I am penning this ed, My Mother and sister are applying Mehendi (Henna) on their hands with intricate designs and motifs that can only be thought up by a female mind and also be understood only by them .... And the patience with which they sit for hours ( a couple at least), they could very well propitiate God Himself ... Well, God it is after all - PATI PARMESHWAR A Womens' husband is her Lord and Master (in dreams for most  ) But He better be there to humour her on this day .. for even though the fast is for his benefit, it is she who must be taken good care of ... for woe betide any Man who hurts her on this day when she is engaged in spiritual pursuits for the upliftment of her Lord Poor women ... <sniff> The suffering they undergo for our sakes .. ok .. ok .. Jokes aside, A Womens love for her man is expressed in so many ways as a Mother, sister, Wife, daughter, friend (as the many email forwards would have us know), But it is in her form as his counterpart that brings out the best and the worst in her ...
