jis ko bhi shaikh-o-shaah ne hukm-e-khuda diya qaraar
hamane nahin kiya wo kaam haan ba-khuda nahin kiya

jo bhi ho tum pe mautariz us ko yahi jawab do
aap bahot sharif hain aap ne kya nahin kiya

Dil ne vafaa ke naam par kaar-e-jafaa nahin kiya
khud ko halaak kar liyaa khud ko fidaa nahii.n kiya

kaise kahen ke tujh ko bhi hamase hai wasta koi
tuune to hamase aaj tak koi gila nahin kiya

tu bhi kisi ke baab men ahad-shikan ho gaaliban
main ne bhi ek shakhs ka qarz adaa nahin kiya

nisbat-e-ilm hai bahot haakim-e-waqt ko aziz
us ne to kaar-e-jehl bhi be-ulamaa nahin kiya
