YOU HAVE TALKED ABOUT A SUBJECT WHICH I WAS THINKING OF WHEN I WENT TODAY TO MEET THE GREATEST LIVING GURU IN THE WORLD LIVING IN MY CITY,PUNE MR B K S IYENGAR;(THERE WERE HUNDREDS OF FORIEGNERS MOSTLY CHINESE)YOUNGSTERS THERE LISTENING TO HIS LECTURE ABOUT YOGA. I HAD GONE TO HIM TO COMPLAIN TO HIM WHY HE GAVE THE SECRETS OF OUR VEDAS TO THE CHINESE WHO ARE HOSTILE TO INDIA.
WHEN HE TRIED TO REPLY I SAID PLEASE REPLY NOT TO ME BUT TO YOUR OWN CONCIENCE. I TOUCHED HIS FEET & LEFT.
SINCE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT KNOWLEDGE IN SO FAR AS COUNTRIES ARE CONCERNED IN ANY WAR
THE GREATEST WEAPON IS KNOWLEDGE
,NOT TANKS, ROCKETS OR MISSILES OR USA WOULD NOT HAVE LOST OUT TO A SMALL COUNTRY LIKE VIETNAM, AFGANISTAN ETC
AND THE GREATEST VICTORY IS NOT DOMINATION BUT 'PEACE"
BUT WHO WILL TELL THE POWERS TO BE.

Dear Moderator (Dr. Rameshi ji):
To further support the idea that inquiries and debates are critically important tools for Hindus, I saved this for now -- to give in small steps, I think, is the best way to educate. It should not come as a shock to those who have disciplined themselves to study the books that in Hinduism it is very clear that knowledge is proposed as a principal means of salvation. The other important means of salvation include action for the welfare of the society, meditation, and love of God. Knowledge has a special place whereas addiction to rituals is not prominent. These ideas have been expounded in the Samkhya Yoga, one of the six traditional systems of Hindu philosophy, and one of the oldest.
