 حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا راوی ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا نماز میں قرآن کی قرات نماز کے علاوہ قرآن پرھنے سے افضل ہے اور نماز کے علاوہ قرآن کا پڑھنا تسبیح و تکبیر سے زیادہ ثواب رکھتا ہے اور تسبیح صدقہ (خدا کی راہ میں خرچ کرنے سے) زیادہ ثواب رکھتی ہے اور صدقہ روزہ سے زیادہ ثواب رکھتا ہے اور روزہ دوزخ کی آگ سے ڈھال ہے۔

Thauban radi allaho anho se Rivayat hai ki Rasoollallah sallallaho alaihey wasallam ne farmaya Allah taala ne lapet liya zameen ko mere liye (yani sab zameen ko mere samney kar diya) to mainey uska purab aur pachchim dekha aur meri hukumat wahan tak pahuchegi jaha tak zameen mujhkodikhlayee gayee aur mujhko do khazaney miley surkh aur safed aur mainey Dua ki apney parwardigar se ki meri ummat ko aam qahat se halak na karey aur us par koigair dushman aisa ghalib na karey ki unka jaththa tut jaye aur unki jad (root) jaye (yani bilkul khatam ho jaye) mere parwardigar ne farmaya Eh Muhammed Sallallaho Alaihey Wasallam main jab koi hukm kar deta hun phir wo nahi palat ta, aur mainey Aapki ye Duayein qubul ki Main Aapki ummat ko Aam qahat se halak na karunga aur na un par koi gair dushman jo unmein se na ho aisa ghalib karunga jo unki jad(root) kaat de agarchey zameen ke tamam log ek saath ho jaye ( musalmano ko tabah karney ke liye lekin unko bilkul tabaah na kar sakegey) yahan tak ki khud musalman ek dusrey ko halak karengey aur ek dusrey ko Qaid karengey
Sahih Muslim, 7258 

English Translation:
Thauban Radiallaho anho reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Allah drew the ends of the world near one another for my sake. And I have seen its eastern and western ends. And the dominion of my Unimah would reach those ends which have been drawn near me and I have been granted the red and the white trea- sure and I begged my Lord for my Ummah that it should not be destroyed because of famine, nor be dominated by an enemy who is not amongst them to take their lives and destroy them root and branch, and my Lord said: Muhammad, whenever I make a decision, there is none to change it. Well, I grant you for your Ummah that it would not be destroyed by famine and it would not be dominated by an enemy who would not be amongst it and would take their lives and destroy them root and branch even if all the people from the different parts of the world join hands together (for this purpose), but it would be from amongst them, viz. your Ummah, that some people would kill the others or imprison the others.
