<>_<>MORNING COFFEE<>_<> End Daily Struggles by Jane Powell "Relax and enjoy life's journey." Every day you're bombarded with an ever-increasing number of opportunities, yet you don't seem to have enough time to get things done. If that isn't enough, you believe you're not working quickly enough to keep up with the nonstop flow of information streaming out of your computer. Worse yet, you feel as if you'll be left in the dust if you don't keep up. The truth is, there will never be enough time to get everything done, so, don't kill yourself trying. You can face overwhelming challenges, yet still make each day purposeful, by keeping in mind a clear intention of what you want to do. Resolve to stay focused on accomplishing important tasks. Be willing to say "No" when you are asked to add responsibilities that are not in harmony with your aspirations. Life is not meant to be a struggle but a balanced and joyful journey. If you expect it to be, you will perpetually disappoint yourself. Achieving anything worthwhile in life takes effort. So start every morning ready to run farther than you did yesterday and fight harder than you ever have before. Above all, make sure you properly align your efforts with your goals. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it in the end. Get over it If you've gotten off to a slow start, now is your opportunity to speed up. If you've been disappointed by the results so far, now is the chance to make some effective positive changes. Negative momentum can be powerful. Yet the moment you commit yourself to a positive perspective, that negative momentum is gone. Stop worrying and complaining about the fact that your day, your week, your month or your life has gotten off to a bad start. Use this moment right now to interrupt the pattern and point yourself in a positive, empowered, fulfilling direction. Your past has brought you where you are, and yet it does not dictate where you can now go. Make the choice to point all of your life in the direction of your dreams. Even though you may have experienced great difficulty in getting started, choose now to be thankful for those difficulties you've gone through. Be thankful for the strength they've enabled you to build, and make positive use of that strength going forward. This time, this moment is different, because now you're in complete control, and determined to make it great. So no matter what may have happened, get over it, and get going toward the best you can imagine. Ralph Marston |
