Wo jo us ke saamnay aagaya wohi roshni mey naha gaya
Ajab us ki hebat-e-ishq thi ajab us ka rung-e-jamaal tha

Dum-e-wapsi arey kya hua na wo roshni na wo taazgi
Wo sitara kaise bikhar gaya wo jo aap apni misaal tha

Wo mila tow sadiyon ke baad bhi mere lub pe koi gila na tha
Usay meri chup ne rula diya jisay guftugu mey kamal tha

Mere saath lug ke wo roo diya mujhe sirf itna hee keh saka
Jise janta tha mein zindagi wo tow mera wehm-o-khayaal tha
