BismillahirRahmanirRahim
AsSalaam Aalaikum WaRahamtullahi WaBarakatuhu,
"Rabbi Zidni Ilma - My Lord! Increase me in knowledge"
Narrated Aisha (Radi Allahu anha):
Allah's Messenger (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) recited the Verse:-
It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) the Book (this Qur'an).
In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book [and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkam (commandments), Al-Fara'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers)];
and others not entirely clear.
So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allah.
And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say:
"We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord."
And none receive admonition except men of understanding. (Tafsir At-Tabari).
[Surat Aal-e-Imran (The family of Imran) 3:7]
Aisha (Radi Allahu anha) added: "Then Allah's Messenger (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) said, 'If you see those who follow thereof that is not entirely clear then they are those are those whom Allah has named [as having deviation (from the Truth)]. So beware of them.'"
Sahih Al-Bukhari 6:70
Hadith:
The Messenger (Muhammad SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."
[Surat Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:285]
Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. "Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people. "
[Surat Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:286]
Narrated Abu Mas'ud Al-Badri (Radi Allahu anhu):
Allah's Messenger (SalAllahu alaihi wasallam) said, "Whosoever recited the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqrah at night, that will be sufficient for him."
Sahih Al-Bukhari 5/4008
