Plus, the reason he got a fine notice ahead of the film's world premiere in Dubai today
Salman Khan is in Dubai today (June 1) for the world premiere of his new movie 'Ready' and he's definitely got an opinion on how people should be watching it.
The star, who feels very strongly about anti-piracy, posted on his Twitter page, "Ya, this bloody piracy is p@#%ing me off now big time. Controlling my self, don't want to lose the plot. U guys shld stop buying em."
Salman went on to say about 'Ready' and other Bollywood releases, "Make Ready or any movie the biggest flop fr the pirates, aisa karo ke sala business he chaupat ho jaye. Don't believe this crap."
He was also concerned about fakes of merchandise (including branded T-shirts and watches) from his Being Human (BH) charitable foundation being available in markets. "BH fakes in the market. Humans selling n humans buying, inhuman," Salman wrote.
While the 'Ready' star is expected to rock Dubai today, he didn't have the greatest experience before making his way to the city. Salman was in Patiala recently shooting his film 'Bodyguard', and landed in trouble with the local administration penalising him for smoking in a public place at a hotel.
After seeing his photograph published in a local daily, the Patiala district administration issued a notice (challan) to Salman on Tuesday (May 31), which was coincidentally World No Tobacco Day.
"We have issued a challan on the basis of a photograph, showing Salman smoking at a public place in a hotel, published in a newspaper Saturday (May 28). We have also issued a warning to the hotel authorities," said an official.
A crew member of the film's production unit received the challan on Salman's behalf. The star or his representative will now have to appear before the district magistrate, who may decide the penalty amount. It was not known when the actor would appear before the official.
A Patiala-based NGO has also decided to serve a legal notice on Salman for smoking at a public place.
In January 2009, Salman was issued two notices for lighting up at a public place in Kurali town in Punjab's Mohali district.
